There are many uncertainties in the workplace with the shifting economy and COVID-19. Here at iMPact we are focused on doing everything we can to continue to help our clients find qualified candidates for the positions they have open. As consumer needs have shifted rapidly in some areas, it has created a new variety of new unanticipated opportunities. As the candidate market has also dramatically changed it has increased the number of people competing for fewer available positions. This has presented new challenges for all parties involved, including how the job search, interviewing, and hiring process is conducted.
Is iMPact currently hiring?
We are. We currently have over 150 open contract and full-time positions in Information Technology, Engineering, Finance/Accounting and business process/administration. You can find all available positions on our job board.
What changes can I expect during the interviewing process?
Many of our clients have started incorporating virtual interviews into the interviewing process using Zoom and other technologies. Be prepared to conduct an interview from home before a potential in-person interview. During on-site interviews, you may be asked to adhere to standard social distancing procedures such as maintaining a 6ft distance, wearing a mask and temperature check prior to your interview. Our recruiters will cover this in more detail with you should you be invited to interview for an open position.
If you are not feeling well on the day of your scheduled on-site interview, reach out to your recruiter to re-schedule. This is a time where showing up sick or with symptoms for an interview will reflect poorly on you due to COVID-19 concerns.
What happens if I get COVID?
As an iMPact employee, if you’re diagnosed with COVID-19, you will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days and you will qualify for pay during those two weeks. If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 during the interviewing process, your start date may be delayed until you’re safely able to start your employment.
Can I work remotely during the COVID pandemic?
This will depend on the position and will vary from employer to employer. After applying, if a recruiter reaches out to you to discuss next steps, they will be able to discuss this more in detail and review any work from home requirements and options with you.
